Obama in Over His Head

After watching President Obama's joint address to Congress it became increasingly apparent he is a political lightweight that is in way over his head.

It was sheer idiocy of the part of the American electorate to put this articulate, yet clueless and unremarkable freshman senator, in the highest office in the land, along with larger majorities for the Pelosi/Reid railroad and road show.

In case you missed civics 101 in high school, it is the U.S. Congress and not the president who has the responsibility for creating and passing spending bills. They (the Democrats) not George Bush have passed the two largest budget deficits in U.S. history and destroyed our economy along the way. Yet they still want to lay all the ills of the world at the feet of the former president.

If your memory is bad. get on your computer and Google where the economy and markets and consumer confidence were at the beginning of 2007 and where it is today after a little over two years of Democratic control of both houses of congress. I think most people like where their investments, 401k's and IRA's were two years ago a lot better than where they are today.

The Democratic circus in Congress created the housing meltdown that has destroyed our markets and economy the last two plus years. Now they want to bail out all the crooked and greedy investment bankers, hedgefund mangers and irresponsible home purchasers who bought more house than they could afford and in a lot of cases with questionable credit and little or no money down.

It's amazing how the federal, state and local electorate keep putting the same idiots back in power and expect different results. The voters are gluttons for punishment and can't seem to get enough of shooting themselves in the foot. Maybe one of these days we will come back to our sanity hopefully before we run off the economic cliff of no return.
